In May of 2019, I discovered celebrity professional organizers through social media. I scrolled through their before and after photos in awe and fell in love. At the time, I had just received my social work license and was interviewing for a variety of positions in the field. I didn’t have any kind of formal background in business or marketing, but I did have a passion for helping others.
With the support of family and friends who knew my type A personality well, I immersed myself in all things organizing. I read books, listened to podcasts, took online courses, and reached out to established professional organizers to ask questions. I was determined to learn all there was to know about the industry because I knew that's what I was meant to do. Six months later, I took a leap of faith and launched Flourish Organizing Company with a simple goal in mind: help people get organized.
For two years, Flourish led me to serve clients throughout Boston, Norfolk county, the South Shore, Cape Cod, New Jersey, and the Hamptons. In 2021, I needed help with one of my biggest projects yet.
I needed to sort, declutter, clean, and organize an unfinished basement in a charming 1900’s Hingham home. I couldn’t do it alone and I knew the perfect person for the job — my sister, Julie. I didn’t think twice about whether or not we would work well together, or if she had any interest in working with me again once this job was complete. I was desperate for help and she said yes without hesitation.
As they say… the rest is history. Since organizing that Hingham basement, we have helped hundreds of families and young professionals transform their homes and lives. From pantries to primary closets and playrooms, we do it all, and we love every minute of it.
